Isca Junior Representation
In the 24-25 season, Isca Hockey Club had a large number of juniors across both County and Talent Academy programmes, demonstrating that we are consistently producing some of the best junior hockey players in the county.
TA - 6 x Boys, 9 x Girls
Devon - 25 x Boys, 37 x Girls
New members
We currently have 400 juniors, and before applying you should consider whether your child would be better off playing local hockey in a smaller club (England Hockey recommends this for most players below the age of 14). With up to 50 players in some age groups it’s going to be tough to get in the first team at Isca! Many other Devon clubs have capacity to take players, for example Exeter HC also offer training in Exeter, and there are many other clubs in the surrounding area.
For older players, there may come a point when a smaller club may not be able to provide the best environment, or offer a high enough standard of competition. England Hockey’s Right Athlete, Right Environment RARE resource provides some guidance about the questions to ask and areas to consider.

U16 Boys
Isca U16 boys compete in the England Hockey T1 SupraLeague. In the 24-25 season they came 3rd in their pool and qualified for the next round of the competition. They ultimately were knocked out in the quarter-final of the shield.
U16 Girls
Isca U16 girls also compete in the England Hockey T1 SupraLeague. In the 24-25 season, the girls came 4th in the SupraLeague and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the next round.
U14 Boys and Girls
Isca U14 A teams compete in the West T1 competition with progression into the SupraLeague if successful. We also enter a side into the Devon Hockey U14 11-a-side league. In the 24-25 season, our U14 girls won the 11-a-side league which is a great achievement.
U12 Boys and Girls
Isca U12 consistently get through to the West In2Hockey Finals after coming in the top two in Devon. In the 24-25 season, the boys were Devon Runners Up and West Semi-Finalists. The girls were Devon Champions but had a tough group in the West Finals getting knocked out in the group stages. Fantastic achievements!
U10 Boys and Girls
The U10 programme is one of the most successful age groups in our club. The U10 girls have been West Champions for two years in a row, winning both the County tournament and the Area tournament. The boys had a younger group this year but competed with pride and passion at the Devon tournament.
U8 Mixed Hockey
Isca Hockey Club also run U8 sessions, open to anyone 5+. With a dedicated group of volunteer coaches, this is the perfect place to develop the foundations of hockey. The group compete in several 4-a-side tournaments hosted by Isca at Exeter School, and this gives them a great opportunity to play competitive hockey.
